CBS Sports analysts name top 3 picks for 2023 Heisman winner

The hosts of Inside College Football on CBS Sports made their preseason picks for the winner of the 2023 Heisman Trophy Monday.
The crew – consisting of Danny Kannel, Aaron Taylor and Brian Jones – all included at least 1 B1G player in their top 3. For reference, 2006 Ohio State’s Troy Smith was the last B1G player to win the Heisman.
Here are the picks for all 3:
Danny Kannel: Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison, Florida State QB Jordan Travis and Clemson QB Cade Klubnik
Aaron Taylor: Michigan RB Blake Corum, USC QB Caleb Williams and UNC QB Drake Maye
Brian Jones: Michigan RB Blake Corum, USC QB Caleb Williams and LSU QB Jayden Daniels
With Ohio sports betting and Michigan sports betting now legal, any Ohio State fans who feel confident in Harrison becoming the first Heisman WR since DeVonta Smith to win the award can put their money where their mouth is.
On the other hand, Corum’s chances of becoming the first RB to win the award since Derrick Henry seem strong, too, especially behind an incredible offensive line in Ann Arbor. One may even separate themselves during The Game at the end of the regular season, so you’ve got some time.
After all, both B1G selections from the above make sense. Corum was well within Heisman talks until he suffered an injury at the end of the season. Harrison had an unbelievable season for the Buckeyes last season and enters 2023 as the top receiver in the country with little debate.
