The coaching search has been bizarre at Tennessee. One moment, there are reports that the Vols have their coach of the future and then moments later, they don’t.
One coach that Tennessee was reported to have a lot of interest is Purdue head man Jeff Brohm. And Yahoo Sports’ Pat Forde discussed the Vols’ interest in Brohm with BTN on Wednesday.
Since Forde’s interview with BTN, Tennessee has turned its attention away from Brohm. According to reports, the Vols have offered North Carolina State coach Dave Doeren the job.
Late update: Dave Doeren has a potential deal with Tennessee, according to sources, and an improved offer from N.C. State. He is expected to make a decision on Thursday

But none the less, don’t be surprised if Brohm’s name continues to pop up during this search because by now,we have learned anything can happen during this situation.
