Zaquan Patterson announced his commitment date on social media on Sunday. Patterson has garnered interest from many teams around the country.

Patterson’s top schools include Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, and Auburn. He will be picking one of them to commit to on Aug. 26.

Patterson is a 4-star safety from the 2024 class. The 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 3 safety and No. 10 prospect from Florida. He hails from Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Florida.

The Wolverines do not have a commitment from a true safety in their 2024 class just yet. Ohio State has one from 4-star safety Garrett Stover. Garrett is the cousin of Ohio State TE Cade Stover.

B1G schools like Maryland, Michigan State, and Penn State have also shown interest in Patterson.

Although Patterson plays a lot of safety, one of the evaluators at 247Sports believes he could also be useful as a linebacker in the future. Patterson also runs track.

Patterson has taken unofficial visits with both Michigan and Ohio State as well as the other teams inside his top 5.

Here’s a highlight tape of Patterson from Chaminade-Madonna Prep:
