Despite undergoing minor knee surgery on Sunday, Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett is going to start in the B1G Championship Game.

Just 30 minutes before kickoff, Eleven Warriors reported that head coach Urban Meyer said Barrett would “give it a go.” Barrett injured his knee after colliding with a photographer on the sideline at Michigan Stadium last week.

He left the game in the third quarter.

Meyer said Barrett would play in the B1G Championship against Wisconsin, but he was unsure how many snaps the senior quarterback would see. Meyer has also said that backup quarterback Dwayne Haskins will likely be on the field at some point.

Barrett has accounted for 3,400 total yards for Ohio State this season, and has scored 42 total touchdowns.
