Williams was recently selected to the watch list for Comeback Player of the Year along with teammate Cam Camper (wide receiver). Per the award’s website, the accolade honors a player for overcoming injury, illness or other situations.
Williams passed for 184 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions as a sophomore.
Indiana will begin the regular season with a major challenge vs. visiting No. 3 Ohio State. Ohio State has defeated Indiana in 27 consecutive matchups dating back to 1991. Indiana’s last victory against Ohio State came in 1988.
