Illinois football is starting the season by announcing new special prices on concessions in a move designed to encourage fans to arrive early this fall.
Heading into the 2023 season, Illinois has announced the introduction of the “Illini Hour” at Memorial Stadium. Under that announcement, Illinois will lower certain concession prices from 90 minutes to kickoff until 30 minutes before kickoff.
In the “Illini Hour,” all hot dogs, non-alcoholic beverages (with the exception of souvenir cups), domestic beers and Trulys will be sold for just $3. The discount applies to any stand where the items are sold within the venue.

Head coach Bret Bielema and the athletic department have not been shy about making Memorial Stadium and football games more accessible for fans. Earlier in the offseason, the Illini announced lower ticket prices for many areas of the stadium.
Bielema has also been adamant about Illinois fans setting a true home environment for the Illini to play in. The introduction of the “Illini Hour” should help fans get into their seats early and set the stage for a tougher atmosphere come kick off.
