Urban Meyer believes his team deserves a shot at the national title. That’s what the Ohio State head coach said after the Buckeyes clinched the B1G title in Indianapolis Saturday night.
Ohio State posted a 27-21 win over Wisconsin in the B1G Championship Game to finish the year 11-2 and with a conference title in hand. It also recorded wins over three top 25 teams this season.
Meyer believes that’s more than enough to get that fourth spot in the College Football Playoff.
Urban Meyer on @FOX about what he'd tell the CFP Committee on #OhioState's case: "We have two wins over two top 4 teams … We deserve a shot."

“We have two wins over top 4 teams,” Meyer said on FOX after the game. “We deserve a shot.”
Those two wins Meyer are referring to are against Penn State and Wisconsin. The Buckeyes also clobbered Michigan State.
The selection committee will make a decision on the four College Football Playoff teams on Sunday afternoon. While Clemson, Oklahoma and Georgia likely have the top three spots locked down, the final spot will likely come down to Alabama and Ohio State, though USC could work its way into the conversation, as well.
Sunday will be an interesting day in the college football world.
