Jim Harbaugh will be suspended for the first three games of Michigan’s 2023 season. On Thursday, he released who will be the head coach in his absence for all three games.

Harbaugh was suspended after breaking the NCAA’s rule about impermissible contact with recruits during dead periods. Michigan will be playing East Carolina, UNLV, and Bowling Green State in that order to start off the year.

Jesse Minter will be handling head coaching duties in the season opener vs. East Carolina on Sept. 2. Game No. 2 against UNLV on Sept. 9 will consist of a head coaching tandem of Jay Harbaugh in the first half and Mike Hart in the second half.

Last but not least, Sherrone Moore is set to be the head coach in the Bowling Green State game on Sept. 16.

Harbaugh’s return will be against Rutgers as B1G play opens for the Wolverines on Sept. 23.

Minter is up first in the season opener. Kickoff will be at Noon ET on Peacock.
