Former Ohio State DT Taron Vincent has been let go as part of roster cuts by the Los Angeles Rams.
Vincent is trying to make an NFL roster as a rookie after going undrafted, which is a tall task. In May, Vincent took part in rookie camp with the Buffalo Bills before signing with the Rams.
Vincent was a big get for Ohio State’s 2018 recruiting class, which ranked No. 2 nationally on the 247Sports Composite. Out of the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, Vincent was rated 5-stars, the No. 1 defensive tackle and No. 20 overall prospect in the class on the Composite. He chose OSU over scholarship offers from 30 other schools.
In 5 seasons at Ohio State, Vincent played in 40 games. He totaled 57 tackles, including 8 for loss with 1.5 sacks in his time at OSU. Vincent also had 1 career fumble recovery, recorded last season.
Vincent took a redshirt for the 2019 season due to injury. The NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver allowed Vincent the option to play college football in 2023, but he elected to begin his professional career. Vincent graduated from Ohio State with a degree in sport industry.
Rams have waived former Ohio St. defensive lineman Taron Vincent, the son of NFL executive Troy Vincent.
