Volleyball Day in Nebraska is set for Wednesday night, and the Huskers are just about finished turning Memorial Stadium into an outdoor volleyball venue.

The Huskers announced the move to play a volleyball match in the iconic Memorial Stadium back in February. Nebraska will host the University of Nebraska-Omaha for a match at 7 pm as a part of a volleyball doubleheader. University of Nebraska-Kearney will play Wayne State College in an exhibition match at 4:30 pm to open the day.

On Monday, Nebraska unveiled the very first look at the court to be used inside Memorial Stadium. Needless to say, the image of the court in front of the grandstands and goalposts is a great look.

As long as the weather cooperates, Wednesday should be a day to remember for everyone in attendance:

Here’s a timelapse look at Nebraska working to turn things for the volleyball court inside the stadium:

The Huskers opened their 2023 season over the weekend in the Ameritas Players Challenge. Nebraska came out of those games with a 3-0 record with sweeps over Utah State, Lipscomb and SMU to open the schedule. The Huskers will face Omaha on Wednesday before traveling to face Kansas State on the road this Sunday.
