Bobby Carpenter talked about the Ohio State offensive line on ‘The Bobby Carpenter Show’ on Friday. Carpenter played linebacker in Columbus during the early 2000s.

Carpenter believes that Ohio State’s offensive line has the chance to be one of the best in the country. However, Carpenter noted that offensive lines take continuity to improve.

“I think [the Buckeyes] have an opportunity to be able to have one of the better offensive lines,” said Carpenter. “Offensive line takes a little bit of continuity to kind of get that rolling, to kind of get that established and to get that going. I think they’ll be okay. They’ll get it figured out. I believe that.”

Ohio State managed to get past Indiana in Week 1, winning by a score of 23-3. The offensive line blocked for an offense that had 380 total yards in the win.

The offensive line lost Dawand Jones, Paris Johnson Jr., and Luke Wypler to the 2023 NFL Draft. It will be hard to make up for those three, who were staples on the line for the past few years.

Some easier opponents are up on the schedule next. Youngstown State and Western Kentucky should give the unit time to mesh well.

Ohio State and Youngstown State kick off Saturday at Noon ET on BTN from Columbus.
