Kirk Herbstreit updated his top 4 rankings on Monday after the games that took place in Week 2.
Herbistreit’s top 4 includes Georgia, Michigan, Texas and Florida State in that order. The teams on the outside looking in are USC and Ohio State.

Georgia beat Ball State 45-3 in Athens. Carson Beck and the Bulldogs open SEC play with South Carolina in Week 3. Michigan took care of business against UNLV with one more game left on Jim Harbaugh’s self-imposed suspension.
The Wolverines’ head coach will return in Week 4 versus Rutgers.
Many fans around the country tuned into the Texas-Alabama game. The Longhorns marched into Tuscaloosa and came back with a victory, which is no easy task.
Florida State kept rolling after beating LSU in the season opener. The Seminoles walloped Southern Miss 66-13 in Tallahassee.
The Trojans dismantled Stanford in its Pac-12 game of the season. USC has a bye in Week 3.
Lastly, Ohio State appeared more composed in its home opener against Youngstown State. Kyle McCord and Devin Brown both saw the field. McCord threw 3 touchdown passes in the 35-7 win.
