ESPN announces All-America team

ESPN has released its All-America team following the 2017 season.

Tuesday morning, the four-letter network announced the names of the college football stars that earned All-American recognition with the regular season now in the books. The B1G was well represented on this list, as seven players from the conference earned honors.

Most of the recognition came on defense, as the B1G had five players occupying spots. There was also one special teams player and an offensive standout that made the cut. Iowa and Ohio State led the way, each having two selections. Michigan, Wisconsin and Penn State also had players named an All-American by ESPN.

Here are the First-team All-Americans as selected by ESPN.

Offense

  • RB: Bryce Love, Stanford
  • RB: Rashaad Penny, San Diego State
  • WR: James Washington, Oklahoma State
  • WR: Anthony Miller, Memphis
  • TE: Mark Andrew, Oklahoma
  • C: Billy Price, Ohio State
  • OG: Quenton Nelson, Notre Dame
  • OG: Braden Smith, Auburn
  • OT: Orlando Brown, Oklahoma
  • OT: Mitch Hyatt, Clemson
