The Michigan Wolverines and Jim Harbaugh landed Ole Miss quarterback Shea Patterson, but it looks like they won’t land his former teammate Deontay Anderson. The safety tweeted he following on Wednesday:

Anderson told TheWolverine’s Andrew Vailliencourt that “his transcripts did not go through, which is why he won’t be going to Michigan.”

Anderson is a former blue-chip recruit who played at safety for the Rebels last season before sitting out 2017 after the team initiated a self-imposed bowl ban in advance of NCAA sanctions imposed on Dec. 1. He met with Harbaugh in Mississippi last week.
