Von Bell may be with a new team this season, but that won’t stop him from making plays. Bell forced an interception as the Carolina Panthers played the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.

Bell joined the Panthers on a three-year, $22.5 million contract during the offseason. Derek Carr threw a pass into a contested area and Bell jumped in front of the target to take the ball away.

Bell was originally drafted by the Saints in the 2016 NFL Draft. He had 77 total tackles, 4 tackles for loss, and 4 interceptions last season for the Cincinatti Bengals.

Bell made the most of his opportunity against one of his old teams. The Saints and Panthers were locked in a tight defensive battle in the first half. That means both teams will be looking to take advantage of turnovers whenever possible.

The Panthers are trying to make sure that Bryce Young earns a win in his home debut.
