Kirk Herbstreit loved some B1G coaches after Week 4.

There were plenty of good games on Saturday. One of which included Ohio State on the road against Notre Dame in South Bend. For Ryan Day and Jim Knowles’ efforts, the two landed at the top of Herbie’s list.

The other B1G coaches who made the cut were Penn State defensive coordinator Manny Diaz at No. 3 and Northwestern interim head coach David Braun at No. 5.

The Buckeyes won for the first time in South Bend since 1996 with a 17-14 victory as time expired. Diaz’s defense shutout Iowa in Happy Valley, leading to a 31-0 win. Braun took down Minnesota 37-34 in overtime.

It’s no surprise that three coaches from the B1G made Herbstreit’s list. There were some top performances in Week 4 from those on the sidelines.

Other coaches who were featured included Washington State head coach Jake Dickert, Alabama’s Nick Saban and Kevin Steele, Marshall head coach Charles Huff, and Georgia Tech head coach Brent Key.

Should any of the coaches be higher or lower on the list?
