Jack Campbell is in the NFL, getting his first taste of action with the Detroit Lions. The Lions are trying to find the best way to utilize the linebacker, and that included rushing the passer a bit more in Week 3.

That utilization led Campbell to register his first NFL sack in action against the Atlanta Falcons. That sack came right before the halftime whistle, and Campbell simply got up and ran to the locker room.

In this era of the NFL, celebratory dance moves have become commonplace for many defenders when they register a sack, but not Campbell. He says that’s not who he is, and it’s a similar attitude that was instilled via Kirk Ferentz and his coaching staff at Iowa.

“I mean, I feel like — I don’t know. Who I am. That’s like Coach Ferentz, Coach Parker, Coach Wallace, Coach Bell. All them guys that kind of instilled that in me,” said Campbell. “I don’t know, I just got up. It was halftime. Just get ready to go for the next half.”

At the end of the day, no dance moves are needed for the rookie linebacker’s game. He finished the win with 6 tackles (3 solo) and his first career sack.
