JJ McCarthy and the Michigan offense hit the road for the first time this season with a Week 5 road trip to Nebraska. At the break, the Wolverines have been shredding the Cornhuskers with McCarthy leading the charge with a brilliant performance.

Michigan entered the game averaging just under 32 points per game. The Wolverines have 28 points at the break and have scored a touchdown on 4 of their 5 possessions in the first half. Three of those drives covered at least 8 plays.

As for McCarthy, he capped the first drive of the game with a touchdown pass to Roman Wilson that included a highlight-reel catch. The QB even finished off the half with another touchdown pass to Wilson, giving the duo 8 on the season.

After 2 quarters of play, McCarthy is 9-for-12 passing with 116 yards and 2 touchdowns. McCarthy has chipped in a rushing touchdown to his credit, along with taking a bite out of some corn after the play.

Needless to say, this is not the same Michigan offense that showed up in Week 4 against Rutgers, and social media is buzzing:
