Justin Fields breaks Chicago Bears franchise record in first half vs. Broncos

Fields, the former Ohio State quarterback entering his 3rd year in Chicago, broke the Bears record for the most consecutive completions by a QB in franchise history. Remember, this is a franchise that has existed since 1920.
With that completion, QB Justin Fields passed Shane Matthews for most consecutive completions (16) by a #Bears quarterback.

These were not just dink and dunk passes either. Fields, with 8 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter, has thrown for 266 yards on 20/21 completion percentage for 3 touchdowns.

And here’s another. This was perhaps more impressive, as Fields had to corral a poor flea flicker flea flick and held in the pocket despite a Broncos defender rushing directly in his face.
