College GameDay crew picks Maryland-Ohio State showdown in Week 6
By Paul Harvey
Published:
ESPN’s College GameDay crew opened the Week 6 Saturday of college football by breaking down all the action across the country. In Columbus, that includes an undefeated B1G East showdown between Maryland and Ohio State.
The Buckeyes head into the game as an overwhelming favorite with a massive 19.5-point spread for the division battle. Ohio State maintains a supremely talented roster, but the Terps have shown an ability to score on almost anybody under Mike Locksley.
Ahead of the game, ESPN’s GameDay crew picked the showdown with guest picker Baker Mayfield. Everyone went with Ohio State to secure the win, but a few are not sold on the way the Buckeyes get there.
Mayfield predicted Ohio State to start slowly but eventually pull away for a big win. Desmond Howard expects OSU to win but does not believe the Buckeyes will cover while Pat McAfee also expects Ohio State to win but not secure the win until late.
Here are the full picks:
