To state the obvious, that’s great news for the Buckeyes. Egbuka suffered the injury late against Maryland in the middle of Ohio State’s furious comeback. He needed assistance limping off the field.
Thankfully, the Buckeyes have zero shortage of talented receivers to back him up should he miss Week 7 following his evaluation. Xavier Johnson is likely to get the start alongside Marvin Harrison and Julian Fleming should Egbuka not be ready to go Saturday.
The Buckeyes and Boilermakers kick off at Noon Saturday in a game that will be aired exclusively on Peacock.
