Ahead of Ohio State’s matchup with Purdue on Saturday, Ryan Day revealed the status of a key member of the offense.
Wide receiver Emeka Egbuka will not be available for the Buckeyes on Saturday. The junior did not make the trip as he continues to recover from a lower leg injury that he suffered against Maryland last week.

So far this season Egbuka has racked up 303 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. Last season, Egbuka recorded 1,151 yards and 10 touchdowns. Getting him back to health will be top priority for Ohio State ahead of some tough games late this season.
Ohio State will be hoping the absence of Egbuka won’t make a difference in the game as the Buckeyes look to stay undefeated against the struggling Boilermakers.
After this one, Ohio State will take on Penn State in a game that could be season-defining. Both teams are gunning for a spot in the College Football Playoff and will be looking for a signature win.
But first Ohio State has to handle business against Purdue, and that game will kickoff at noon Saturday.
