With Week 7 in the books, ESPN Analytics has updated its rankings models. The Football Power Index (FPI) has processed Saturday’s games and updated its top 25 teams.

While traditional polls have ranked Georgia No. 1, the FPI has placed Ohio State in the top spot for the last few weeks. OSU remains No. 1 in the FPI top 25 after a 41-7 win over Purdue to improve to 6-0 on the season.

Two other B1G teams climbed up the rankings with lopsided wins in Week 7.

Penn State is now No. 3 in the FPI rankings. The Nittany Lions moved up 4 spots after a 63-0 thumping of UMass to get to 6-0 on the season.

Michigan also moved up 4 spots. The Wolverines are No. 4 in the latest FPI rankings after defeating Indiana 52-7, improving to 7-0 in 2023.

Maryland had been in the FPI top 25 but has dropped out. The Terrapins fell 2 spots to No. 26 after a stunning loss to Illinois.
