Ohio State is dealing with some injury issues ahead of their most important game of the season to date.
The Buckeyes take on No. 7 Penn State this Saturday in a top-tier B1G East battle. On Tuesday, head coach Ryan Day said that he is “hopeful” that starting WR Emeka Egbuka and key RBs TreVeyon Henderson, Miyan Williams will play on Saturday.
He did admit that he doesn’t have any specifics on their status, so this is far from an official green light.
Asked about TreVeyon Henderson, Miyan Williams and Emeka Egbuka, Ryan Day doesn’t offer any specifics on their status but says he’s “hopeful we’ll have all those guys back on Saturday.”

Day was later asked if the same applies to Denzel Burke, to which he replied “Yeah.”
That answer begs the question? What will Ohio State do with Dallan Hayden should Williams or Henderson be sidelined? The OSU RB has played well across his limited snaps this season as the Buckeyes hope to preserve his redshirt.
But Hayden wants to play. And Ohio State’s hand just might be forced if the need arises.
Day said the plan is still for Dallan Hayden to redshirt by not playing in more than four games, but winning games is paramount and if OSU needs him, that plan could change.
