Michigan offensive lineman Ja’Raymond Hall will be transferring from the program at the end of the season. A report was confirmed on Saturday afternoon.

He plans to continue his academic and athletic career just down the road at Central Michigan.

Hall, a freshman, enrolled early at Michigan but never made his way to the playing field in 2017. He was a four-star prospect in the 2017 recruiting class and ranked as the eighth-best player in the state. According to 247 Sports, he was ranked No. 301 overall in the class.

Due to NCAA rules, Hall will have to sit out for the 2018 season and will be eligible again in 2019.

According to MLive.com, Hall initially debunked a rumor that he planned to leave the program at the end of the season. Now, just two days before Michigan plays South Carolina in the Outback Bowl, it appears Hall is definitely headed out of Ann Arbor.

Central Michigan finished the 2017 season 8-5.
