One Michigan State OL was ejected from Saturday night’s rivalry game against Michigan. That player is veteran OL Spencer Brown for a hit during a pick-6 for Mike Sainristil.

During Sainristil’s return, Brown was mixed up with Braiden McGregor. After an exchange, McGregor hit the turf while Brown dove on top of McGregor from behind.

In the process, Brown drove his helmet into the back of McGregor’s helmet from behind. The incident drew a flag and Brown was ejected as a result.

Brown is a fifth-year senior with 21 career appearances and had made 13 straight starts at right tackle coming into the season. While the Spartans were already trailing at the time of the penalty, Brown’s ejection left Michigan State a bit thin on the line.

As the third quarter comes to a close, Michigan is leading 42-0 in a game that has been all Wolverines. Jim Harbaugh’s team has scored 14 points in every period of the rivalry clash.
