ESPN’s SP+ is back with more score predictions across college football. In Week 9, those predictions include Michigan State’s road trip to face Minnesota.
Though the two teams have been common opponents in the B1G, the head-to-head series has been played just twice since 2014. Each team has a win in those recent matchups with Minnesota capturing the most recent showdown with a 34-7 win in 2022.
The SP+ likes the Gophers for this matchup, giving Minnesota a 62% win probability and a predicted final score of 25-19. Minnesota enters the matchup as a -7 favorite, and fans interested in taking part in the action can head to BetMGM to get started.

Minnesota’s most recent game was a 12-10 victory over Iowa without scoring a touchdown. Even for a struggling offense, the Gophers should bounce back a bit while facing a Spartan defense allowing 27.9 points per game.
Speaking of Michigan State, the team is still operating under interim head coach Harlon Barnett and is mired in a 5-game losing streak. The Spartans have yet to win a B1G or Power 5 game this season.
Saturday’s game is set for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on BTN.
