TreVeyon Henderson is cleared to return to the field this weekend after being out for Ohio State’s last 3 games with an undisclosed injury, according to Ryan Day.

The starting running back is deemed to be a “full-go” for No. 3 Ohio State’s road contest at Big Ten West leading Wisconsin.

“Trey’s had a really good week of practice,” Day said.

The 5-foot-10, 212-pound junior remains Ohio State’s leading rusher with 295 yards and 5 touchdowns despite the time he’s missed. Chip Trayanum has filled the void as the starter in Henderson’s absence and has produced 257 yards and 3 touchdowns this season.

The explosive Henderson is averaging 6.7 yards per carry this season. Henderson’s best outing this season came when he rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown in Ohio State’s 17-14 victory at Notre Dame.

With Henderson missing time, Ohio State ranks 101st nationally in rushing yards per game this season (127.0).

Ohio State has beaten Wisconsin in 9 straight matchups and leads the all-time series 62-18-5. Wisconsin’s last victory against Ohio State was a 31-18 home win in 2010.

Ohio State is coming off a 20-12 victory vs. Penn State. Wisconsin most recently edged Illinois 25-21 last weekend.

Ohio State at Wisconsin is slated for a 7:30 p.m. EST kickoff and will be televised on NBC.
