It was a classic B1G game in Madison, as the Ohio State Buckeyes got a 24-10 victory against Wisconsin on Saturday night. Marvin Harrison Jr. had his normal monster game, as he finished with 6 catches for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns. After the game, Ryan Day told NBC Sports that he thinks Harrison is the best player in the country.

While Harrison was great, the play of the defense was also outstanding against Wisconsin. The Buckeyes held the Badgers to 25 carries for 94 yards on the ground. The play of the defense has been great recently, as they have allowed only 22 points in the last two BIG games.

Day said after the game that the resiliency of the defense is a huge factor for this team.

“I think they’re growing,” Day told NBC. “Certainly at the end of the first half, that was a big-time stand. We wanted to win the first 3 minutes of the second half. We didn’t do that, but we did turn it around there. The place started to get loud and we were able to turn the momentum of the game and finish it off. Still a lot of great things out on the field, still a lot of things we can get better at.”

The Buckeyes have been beat up recently with injuries but got running back TreVeyon Henderson back on Saturday. He finished with 162 yards and gave the Buckeyes something they have been lacking.

“So much, so much explosiveness that he brings to the table,” Day said after the game. “When he’s out there and at full-go, he’s a difference-maker.”

Ohio State will once again be on the road next week, as they take on Rutgers next week.
