Tom Allen’s Indiana program welcomed Wisconsin to town for Week 10 in search of the first B1G win of the season. It came down to the wire, but the Hoosiers were able to pull off a wild 20-14 win over the Badgers.

The final play of the game included a completion by the Badgers, but Indiana’s defense forced a fumble and recovered before stepping out of bounds to secure the win.

With the win, Allen is now the first head coach to beat the Badgers in Bloomington since 2002. The head coach for Indiana that season was current Big Ten Network analyst Gerry DiNardo who led the Hoosiers to a 32-29 win over Barry Alvarez.

The win also goes down as Allen’s second against Wisconsin. The Hoosiers also beat Wisconsin 14-6 in Madison during the 2020 season.

With two wins over the Badgers, Allen is the first Indiana head coach with multiple wins over Wisconsin since Bill Mallory. Mallory previously registered 5 wins against the Badgers from 1986-92.

For an Indiana program that was struggling mightily this season and did not have a Power 5 victory, it is a nice feather in the cap for Allen and the Hoosiers.
