CJ Stroud is off to a high-flying start in his NFL career, and the former Ohio State star added another rookie record to his list of accomplishments.

Facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Stroud delivered 5 touchdowns and a rookie record of 470 passing yards for the Texans. The previous rookie record for passing yards in a game was held by Andrew Luck with 433. Stroud’s 5 touchdowns also tied the rookie record for touchdowns in a game.

To make the performance even more noteworthy, Houston needed every bit of Stroud’s performance to pull off the win. Stroud led a game-winning touchdown drive with less than a minute left in the game and found Tank Dell with 6 seconds remaining.

It’s still early in Stroud’s career, but the former Buckeye looks like a budding superstar in the NFL. We’ll see how he’s able to build on his latest accomplishment down the road.
