Report: Former Michigan coach Brady Hoke lands first NFL job
By Adam Spencer
Published:
Former Michigan coach Brady Hoke was an assistant at Tennessee in 2017, eventually taking over as the interim head coach when Butch Jones was fired.
However, Hoke was not retained by new head coach Jeremy Pruitt, but he didn’t stay unemployed for long.
According to a tweet from Sporting News reporter Alex Marvez, Hoke has been hired as the Carolina Panthers’ new defensive line coach:
Not sure if out there but source tells @sportingnews that @panthers have hired Brady Hoke as new defensive line coach

Hoke, who has served as the head coach at Michigan, San Diego State and Ball State, has never coached in the NFL before.
How he’ll fare in Carolina remains to be seen, but he’ll be back on the sidelines in 2018 and will work under head coach Ron Rivera for a team that made the playoffs last season.
