Michigan reportedly files for temporary restraining order to prevent Jim Harbaugh suspension

Michigan has filed for a temporary restraining order to prevent Jim Harbaugh’s 3-game suspension, Detroit News’ Angelique Chengelis reported Friday.
Michigan is likely filing the order to allow Harbaugh to coach in Saturday’s crucial matchup against Penn State. The university released a fiery statement on Friday regarding the matter, which criticized the Big Ten for handing out the suspension late in the day on Veteran’s Day, which is a court holiday on Friday.
Michigan also said in the statement that it intended to file the court order to stop what it called a “hasty” decision from Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti.
The Wolverines’ head coach received a 3-game suspension from the Big Ten Friday afternoon, keeping him off the sidelines for the final games of the season, including — for now — Saturday’s against Penn State and the crucial final game of the season against Ohio State.
Michigan is looking to manage a tough game without its head coach against Penn State. The Wolverines are still leading the charge for a CFP appearance, but not having their head coach for the final stretch will make things much more difficult.
