James Franklin will hear about his big-game ability once again after Penn State’s latest big-game blunder.

Heading into Week 11, the Nittany Lions welcomed Michigan to Happy Valley where the two sides have faced off in some all-time battles over the years. For this particular matchup, it looked like Franklin’s team had a number of things in their favor.

For starters, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh was suspended Friday and was not on the sidelines for the Wolverines. The team might have dealt with that distraction, but Michigan showed up ready to play.

As for the Nittany Lions, it was the offense that let the team down time and time again. Misplaced throws by Drew Allar, miscommunication with his receivers and an overall lack of efficiency doomed Penn State as Michigan eventually won 24-15.

While Penn State battled to the end, it’s another negative mark in the top-10 ledger for Franklin. Here’s how social media reacted to the head coach’s failure:
