Penn State OL Vega Ioane and the Nittany Lions could not pull off the upset, falling at home to Michigan in Week 11. That game was dramatic all the way, but Penn State could not stop a loss by the score of 24-15.

Offensively, Penn State was held in check all game long with 238 total yards of offense and a 4-for-14 mark on third down. The Nittany Lions also managed just 74 passing yards in the loss.

While leaving the field, James Franklin was the recipient of some boos from Penn State fans hanging around. At one point, Ioane had heard enough, stopping to bark back at a fan before Franklin stepped in to pull the offensive lineman along.

Once in the tunnel, Franklin received some additional boos while heading back to the locker room.

While Penn State had a shot to come out on top, it’s another loss in a crucial environment for the program under Franklin. We’ll see how the Nittany Lions respond moving forward, but, for now, it’s a tough pill for coaches, players and fans alike to swallow.
