Jeremiah Smith, a 5-star wide receiver and current Ohio State commitment, was in Tallahassee to take in Florida State’s big win over Miami on Saturday.

After FSU finished off the 27-20 victory vs. the Canes, Smith shared this reaction to the evening:

Smith is a top target for the Noles in the class of 2024. He’s an elite prospect from Opa Locka, Fla., who has been committed to Ohio State since last December. Smith’s proximity to Tallahassee could make the Noles a legitimate threat to flip Smith’s commitment before signing day.

Smith is the No. 1 overall player in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

It certainly seems that FSU was able to make a big impression on the elite receiver prospect. Florida State cornerback Jarrian Jones, who iced the win with an interception in the game’s final minute, responded to Smith’s message with this:

FSU will likely have two major openings in its receiver room next season. Both Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman are currently projected to be high picks in next year’s NFL Draft.

Florida State has now won three consecutive games vs. Miami.
