Contract details released for new Michigan WR coach Jim McElwain
By Adam Spencer
Published:
Former Florida coach Jim McElwain really fell from grace this offseason after parting ways with the Gators.
In 2018, he’ll serve as the WR coach at Michigan, working under coach Jim Harbaugh for the talented Big Ten program.
That drop in title also will result in a drop in pay, as it was reported on Monday that McElwain will make only $300,000 in 2018:
Jim McElwain's contract with Michigan is for one year, $300,000. But the wide receivers coach could get a new title with Tim Drevno's departure. If McElwain's job title includes "coordinator," he's likely to get a bump in pay.

As the above tweet states, McElwain could very well end up getting a raise if he becomes the offensive coordinator or the co-offensive coordinator.
For now, though, he’ll be working on a short contract and will be making much less than he was during his time at Florida.
