Blake Corum is gearing up for The Game with Michigan’s star running back hoping to make an impact now that he’s healthy. Though he technically started last season’s rivalry, Corum did not seriously contribute due to his knee injury.

Speaking to the media, Corum admitted Monday that there are a lot of emotions but also admitted that’s to be expected. He also expressed a hope to end things “with a bang” against the Buckeyes.

This time around, The Game will be a bit different for everyone involved as Jim Harbaugh completes his 3-game suspension from the B1G. Sherrone Moore will handle the head coaching duties, and Corum says it has been tough for the team without Harbaugh.

Corum pointed to Harbaugh’s creation of the culture around the Wolverines and said the team already plans to present the coach the game ball if they win. Harbaugh’s absence also “adds fuel to the fire” per Corum.

The national spotlight will once again be on The Game with the winner heading to Indianapolis for the B1G Championship. The winner will also maintain a top-4 slot for the College Football Playoff with all eyes on a national title.
