Dan Patrick things that if Ohio State loses a third straight to Michigan, it will put some tremendous pressure on Ryan Day.
While Day has had plenty of success since taking over at Ohio State in 2019, Michigan and Jim Harbaugh have had his number the past few years, winning the last 2 editions of The Game.
Patrick doesn’t think that a loss to Michigan on Saturday means Day is on the hot seat, but he does think Day will start to feel some pressure to get a win over the Wolverines.
“This is what you’re judged on at Ohio State and Michigan,” Patrick said on the Dan Patrick Show. “If you lose 3 in a row I at least think the temperature rises a little bit. May not be a hot seat, but there’s heat and humidity in the building.”
Ohio State has dominated the rivalry for much of the last decade, but now Michigan is forming a streak of its own, winning back-to-back games. The Wolverines are looking to make it 3-straight this year in a game that could define their playoff chances.
