Charles Woodson was disappointed to learn that Blake Corum doesn’t wear No. 2 because of the Michigan Heisman winner.
Mark Ingram revealed that Corum wears No. 2 because of New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter, who joined the Big Noon Kickoff crew on Saturday.
Before Ingram could continue, Woodson jumped in and was confused. Both Woodson and the legendary Yankees shorstop wore No. 2 during their playing careers.
“I was able to spend some time with Blake Corum. When you spend some time with him and meet this young man, you have no choice to root for him,” said Ingram. “He wears the deuce because of you.”

Woodson couldn’t believe what he heard.
“What? He wore the deuce because of him instead of me? Ok, alright.” said Woodson.
Jeter remedied the situation by saying that Woodson was the inspiration behind the baseball player’s number choice growing up in Michigan. Woodson was starstruck after Jeter said that.
“You see, I wore in the 2 because I grew up watching you,” said Jeter.
It’s a rare occasion to have Woodson and Jeter in the same room. Both will be rooting for the Wolverines as they take on Ohio State in Ann Arbor. The Buckeyes have not won in Ann Arbor since the 2019 season.
