Lloyd Carr had a special part in the history of Michigan football and was honored for it on Saturday.
Carr coached the 2003 B1G Championship team and was shown on the jumbotron during the 1st quarter of The Game against Ohio State. Carr was also a recipient of the 2024 Bear Bryant Lifetime Achievement Award.
Carr coached at Michigan from 1995-2007. He had 122 wins and 40 losses during his time in Ann Arbor, solidifying himself as one of the best head coaches in program history.

Carr led Michigan to an undefeated season in 1997 with Heisman winner Charles Woodson on that team. The Wolverines faced Washington State in the Rose Bowl that season and won 21-16 to claim the national championship.
Nothing would make Carr happier than seeing Michigan beat Ohio State for the 3rd season in a row. Carr was actually the last Michigan HC to achieve that feat from 1995-1997.
The Wolverines have a chance at winning in front of Carr with spots in the B1G title game and College Football Playoff up for grabs.
