Zak Zinter went down with an apparent left leg injury with 2:19 left in the 3rd quarter with The Game tied at 17 in Ann Arbor.
Zinter has 41 starts and it was an emotional sight on senior day in the Big House.
FOX Sports broadcaster Gus Johnson said the broadcast would not show a replay of the play where he was “rolled up on.” Zinter raised his hand to thank the fans for support. The fans chanted, “Let’s go Zak! Let’s go Zak!”
Zinter, an NFL prospect, was a midseason All-American by the Associated Press (first team), Sporting News, ESPN (first team), Pro Football Focus (second team).
The right guard also received support from teammates, as he’s been a big-time contributor to the Wolverines for years, including as part of 2 Joe Moore Award-winning offensive lines (2021-22), the first back-to-back winners in history for the best offensive line in college football.
