Blake Corum has raced to a go-ahead touchdown for Michigan with his second touchdown in The Game giving the Wolverines a 24-17 lead late in the third quarter. Most of all, his score comes following the emotional exit of offensive lineman Zak Zinter.

Zinter was injured on a big play and was eventually carted off the field. The FOX broadcast declined to show a replay but Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt both reported it was not pretty and appeared to be serious in nature.

Immediately following that injury, the Wolverines ran Corum off the left side of the line. The blocking was perfect, and Corum made one Buckeye miss before racing 22 yards for the go-ahead touchdown.

After scoring, Corum flashed the numbers 6-5 with his fingers, a nod to Zinter’s jersey number:

Michigan holds a 24-17 lead heading into the fourth quarter and looking for some breathing room.
