Kirk Herbstreit reacts to Michigan winning The Game

Kirk Herbstreit was pleased with an exciting edition of The Game on Saturday between Ohio State and Michigan.

The Game came down to the wire and Michigan sealed the game with an interception in the final minute. Now Michigan is heading to the Big Ten Championship where it will look to solidify a spot in the College Football Playoff with a win over Iowa.

Herbstreit said that Saturday’s game is what makes college football so great.

“What College Football is about,” Herbstreit said on social media. “2 traditional powers-undefeated battlin till the end. Everything on the line.”

The Ohio State alum was impressed with the way Ohio State battled through adversity and almost completed a comeback.

“Tough one for @OhioStateFB but very proud of how the players fought through adversity to give themselves a chance at the end,” Herbstreit said. “Keep your heads up fellas.”

He also gave props to Michigan for winning The Game.

“And congratulations to @UMichFootball on their resolve and a big win today!” Herbstreit said.

Ohio State’s Playoff chances are likely over, barring any crazy finishes to the season, but it was still another dominant season for the Buckeyes.
