There are several interesting quarterback prospects coming out for the 2018 NFL Draft, with as many as five who could be selected in the first round.

One player who might be a late-round pick, if he’s picked at all, is former Michigan QB John O’Korn. However, O’Korn is not shy about talking about his ability.

According to DetroitNews.com, O’Korn said he thinks he’s one of the quarterbacks who is the most ready for the NFL:

“Honestly, I think I’m the most NFL-ready quarterback in this draft just as far as terminology, and knowing what to do on a day-to-day basis, game-planning,” O’Korn said Friday. “I was part of the game-plan meetings with coach Harbaugh, coach (Pep) Hamilton, the whole staff, coach (Tim) Drevno, all last fall, so just on a day-to-day basis what it takes to be an NFL quarterback, I think I would choose myself over any other guy in this draft in that regard.”

O’Korn seems like a smart guy, but there is a huge gap between being mentally prepared to play and being physically able to succeed on the field.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens with O’Korn in the draft, but perhaps he could carve out a nice career as a backup quarterback at the next level.
