Abor was one of the top pass rushing prospects in the country for his class. He was the No. 63 overall player and the No. 6 EDGE in the country for the class of 2022, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Despite his pedigree as a prospect, Abor never made an impact in Columbus. He leaves Ohio State with just 2 total tackles and 1 tackle for loss in his collegiate career.
Abor is a Texas native, so it’s possible he will transfer closer to home in search of an increased role in 2024.
Ohio State does have another elite group of prospects committed in the class of 2024 who are slated to arrive before next season. Ohio State currently has 24 commits in that cycle. The group ranks No. 2 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
The transfer portal window will officially open on Dec. 4.
