Ohio State did the wise thing and officially locked up Urban Meyer for another couple of years. The school’s board of trustees approved an extension and raise for the Buckeye coach.

The deal will not become official until it can be approved by the full board, according to Eleven Warriors.

Meyer is now scheduled to be under contract until January of 2023 once this two-year extension kicks in from the school. The Ohio State coach will earn a pay increase, too. He will now make $7.6 million in 2018 for coaching the Buckeyes once this deal is official.

Today is a good day for Buckeye fans around the world.
