The Penn State Nittany Lions now know what bowl game they will be in, and who their opponent will be.

The Nittany Lions will face off against the Ole Miss Rebels in the Peach Bowl. This will be the 1st Peach Bowl appearance for the Nittany Lions, and the 2nd-straight New Year’s 6 bowl appearance.

This matchup in Atlanta will be the first meeting between Ole Miss and Penn State.

The Nittany Lions finished the regular season with a 10-2 record. The only losses for the program came against Michigan and Ohio State. This is the 5th season that the Nittany Lions have had double-digit wins during James Franklin’s tenure.

The Rebels also finished 10-2 this season, with losses to Alabama and Georgia the only blemishes. This will be the 3rd Peach Bowl appearance for the Rebels. The team won the game in 1971 and lost it in 2014.

The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl is played at Mercedez-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.  A win for the Nittany Lions would give the team an 11-win season for the second year in a row.

The Nittany Lions and Rebels will kick off at Noon Eastern on ESPN on Dec. 30.
