Nebraska quarterback Jeff Sims is reportedly re-entering the transfer portal after just 1 season with the Huskers.
The former Georgia Tech QB simply did not work out in Lincoln. The veteran, dual-threat QB had a major turnover problem, seeing 12 turnovers in 5 games. He threw 1 touchdown and 6 interceptions this season.
Before arriving at Nebraska Sims was a decent option for the Yellow Jackets, with over 6,000 total yards accrued across his college career.
Nebraska QB Jeff Sims is expected to enter the transfer portal, a source tells @247Sports.

Now, the question is this: Where do the Huskers go at QB moving forward? Heinrich Haarberg can still return, but in reality the Huskers need much more from the QB position if they are to take the next step in the rapidly evolving Big Ten.
Several QBs have entered the portal that could be good fits, including Ohio State’s Kyle McCord who recently reportedly met with Nebraska OC Marcus Satterfield.
