Wisconsin is coming off its first season under head coach Luke Fickell after going 7-5. Prior to his first season, Fickell’s staff overhauled the quarterback position in Madison, and the Badgers could be back in the portal market for a QB this offseason.
According to Matt Zenitz with 247 Sports, there is an expectation Wisconsin will host Toledo QB Dequan Finn for a visit “in the near future.” Finn has been a dynamic dual-threat QB during his time with the Rockets, including the 2023 when he was named the MAC Player of the Year.

This past season, Finn threw for 2,657 yards on a career-best 63.4% completion rate with 22 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. He also rushed for 563 yards with 7 touchdowns and has 25 rushing touchdowns across his time with Toledo.
While Toledo plays in the MAC, Finn has seen action against stiffer competition while playing at Ohio State and at Illinois in his career. He has a skill set that could translate to big numbers within the right system, and Phil Longo’s offense could be worth a look.
